Congratulations to Joy Maehara who will be recognized as the Fall 2024 Outstanding Graduating Senior in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Joy has been active in the ECE department, serving as the Project Manager for the Smart Campus Energy Lab, an undergraduate TA for ECE 211, and the Treasurer for IEEE-HKN Honor Society. Additionally, Joy has served the College of Engineering as an Engineering Student Ambassador, coordinating events for students, industry partners, and the local K-12 community. Her internship experience includes electrical design work with Burns & McDonnell for the Aviation & Federal group where she will work full-time after graduating. Joy is respected by her peers and supervisors who point to her outstanding leadership qualities.
