Congratulations to Jordan Okumura, who will be recognized as the Spring 2025 Outstanding Graduating Senior in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Jordan has been active in the Smart Campus Energy Lab (SCEL) as a hardware team member, specializing in PCB design and weather box assembly. She currently serves as a SCEL Project Manager organizing meetings, managing administrative work, and maintaining a good working environment for all members. Last year, Jordan worked on a research project with the UH Microbial Genomics and Analytical Lab, developing a novel technique to conduct electrophoresis or the separation of DNA based on size and charge in pipette tips. This was valuable experience providing an engineering perspective in a biological setting.
